Ford key Help?

Hi I have changed the battery on my ford key! I now can unlock the doors but I can't turn the car on! I have a key with a blue chip and one remote key, can I re-programme this myself or do I need to go to ford? I have tried the 4 turn then button press method but it's not working! Can anyone help me please?

Yep, needs programmed through IDS. Half an hours labour. Take both keys, too.

It's a bit annoying that changing the battery, means you have to pay ford to re-programme the key

Thanks I had a look on there and I need two programmed keys to programme another and I only have a blue chip key and my remote one

They're basically trying to get you to buy another key. You can have both your existing keys deleted from PATS and then re-programmed.

I've sorted it now, the insides of remote were loose I pushed them back in and it worked! Thanks for replies
