Rattle!

Hi All,

My 328i Petrol has the most annoying rattle coming from the N/S It's not there all the time & for the life of me cannot find the cause, I have checked the underside from the Exhaust + shields, calipers, wheels ( Alloys) the rear & front Axel areas, I check my car very often & often have it on ramps to wash the underside ( Always been the same with all cars Ive had) the N/S door for rattles, none, the rear seats are locked, the items in the boot well, well stored, the road surface has at times does cause this rattle to start, but no I cannot find it, has anyone had the same? I would be grateful for your Suggestions, By the way, thank you for a good site the forums are very helpfull I don't often ask, but I do look.

Are you sure its not a cv joint or bearing? Mine makes a tapping, akin to a rattle on a left turn.

thanks for your responce, regards the CV Joints, no, thats not the cause I have checked all the underside as sais but still have not found the cause.
