I am interest as to what people say here. The reason being is I am after one for my next car. One problem that I have heard about these cars is, the coilpacks can be dodgy.

I've only had one go on my Leon and that was over 2 years ago, there are newer variants of the coilpacks out now which are more reliable.

Yes, they both use different variations of the 1.8T engine.

pretty much same engine, same coilpack issues. Not a big problem. Last time i had to change 3 of mine, at £20 a pop its hardly expensive.

Can the Ibiza be mapped to 225bhp then like the leon is?

Sorry, yes the Leon I have is 225bhp and the Ibiza Cupra is 180bhp.

An ibiza engine is quite different to a leon Cupra R but a 180 ibiza can be mapped to 200-215 and with other modifications could break 225 but you would need the leon CR KO4 turbo to do so.
