Cyclists who can't stop at a red light in time...

Hey,
I work in Liverpool St/Aldgate and when I cross the traffic lights (when they're green), a cyclist would come up to the line and can't even stop without even hitting into me or another pedestrian.
Has anyone noticed this? It is very annoying and even perhaps dangerous. I don't know if they do this on purpose or not, but thank god they don't drive a car if they can't even stop their bicycles in time! So many cyclists think they are above the rules of the road by jumping red lights, etc.

Just the right arm though, and perhaps with your fingers scrunched into a ball shape at the end of said outstretched arm??It would be a really awful coincidence if your outstretched arm was at the same height as the cyclist's face...
There's probably Pistonheads history to this sort of topic, but why should cyclists get away with flouting traffic laws (e.g. running red lights in central London for example) when ordinary motorists get strung up for it?
So they push their way to the front and then wobble off in front of other traffic when the lights change - yeah, good move mate
Motor cyclists fine, they get on with it and get a shift on, not so the push bikes.

They don't.The City Police haven't issued a single ticket to a car breaching a bike box ("ASL"), yet often have bike patrols issuing tickets to cyclists who run red lights.....It's certainly not the cyclists getting away with flouting traffic laws (especially when you see how many people drive whilst using their mobiles, speeding, etc etc).
As for getting to the front - it's safer for the cyclist, and although they may initially hold you up they'll be at home with a beer before you've even got through the next traffic jam (which, incidentally, will be made up of cars, so there's a real time-wasting target for you).
I see people fail to stop at the stop line all the time, often overshooting it by metres. Sometimes those people are on bicycles, sometimes they are on motorbikes, sometimes they are in cars/buses/vans/trucks.
Why the OP chooses to single out cyclists, I don't know. We all know there are rubbish road-users out there regardless of their form of transport. However, often on PH, posters seem to give the impression they expect all cyclists to be perfect and anything less requires summary justice to be dispensed

But breaching a bike box is in no way as serious an encroachment as running a red light.
