Just sick of these today

Designed and placed specifically so that you can't squeeze them by hand and when you use pliers they'll ping round 90 degrees so that you now cannot reach it with those either.
So guys, what is your most hated car part?

I don't mind those actually. The first time I dealt with them I made the same mistake and got one twisted at a silly angle so I couldn't get the molegrips on it (next to the engine block). That was a PITA.

I like them now because I don't have the constant "will it leak or will it sheer" quandary about doing up jubilee clips another turn...

Not a sight I want to see, especially on Peugeots/Citreons where the drive shaft has a habit of falling out as soon as you undo the bottom ball joint (and dropping gear oil everywhere)

it would have to be the bloody seatbelt reminder bongs/beeps/gongs/bells/chimes
and particularly the ones in some citroens that increase in decibels for every cm you drive... jesus.

The top dead centre sensor on the F4R Renault engine. Located underneath the very large intake manifold, half way down the engine and held on with a banana shaped bracket and two bolts which are entirely unsighted. It's almost certain you'll drop one of the bolts too which will mean taking the floor off the retrieve it

The electronic throttle module in Volvo S60s. Most of them fail before 100,000 miles. Mine did. Replaced now though and fingers crossed I'll get another 65,000 miles out of it!

The coolant pipes on a MKII Toyota MR2 which wrap around most of the engine and are attached to almost a dozen pipes using the clips mentioned in the OP. I eventually gave up and used a hacksaw to remove them, but not after many cuts, bruising and a hell of a lot of swearing.

Damn near every car ever made seems to have several of these, stupidly designed, always break. Very definitely the devils work.

I'll agree that a good old jubilee clip with hex/screw tightening is much preferable, HOWEVER I'd take these type of clips ever single time compared to the modern machine fitted / crimp clips that we get on every hose these days, where you often have to destroy them to get them off, and then replace with a jubilee.
