I'm always stunned how these companies can rip something off so blatantly, yet still end up with it looking like a massive bag of crap.
I agree. It's a bit like they were desperate to make a perfect copy, but realised they weren't technically capable of doing it OR that they would get their b
ks sued off, so changed it just enough to get away with it. But in doing so made it look rubbish, thus pretty much defeating the object.jaik said:

Strange isn't it, it proves how the little touches make a great looking car.I do think its a bit crap that they design a car in 2011 which ends up looking like a car which was first "sketched" back in 1988 and then launched in 1992, 19 years ago!!

Not that it makes much difference, but this has been around for a good five years or so at least.I do think its a bit crap that they design a car in 2011 which ends up looking like a car which was first "sketched" back in 1988 and then launched in 1992, 19 years ago!!

Do you need glasses or someit? That looks fine, Macca F1 inspired, but still looks different and certainly no worse than many well known car makers attempts.

Hmm, what a dumb thread.
Maybe Porsche should sue Ultima, and Ferrari go after GM for ripping off the 360 headlights and 550 bonnet on the Corvette.
Or maybe not, because paying homage to other cars' styling has been going on since the beginning of cars......

That is NOT an homage. That is a blatant rip off. Why else show it off in McLaren orange, just like the F1 GTR is famous for?
That's a good looking car. As Garlick said, if we'd never seen an F1......
What a poor choice of colour though. It makes it appear rip off and replicated. Much better paint and some artist interpretation could make that look so much better than it already does. I don't suppose they're TVR money though are they?

Doesn't look THAT bad.Its like people, all look roughly the same, yet one can be beautiful and the next one a munter.
Made in Britain by some brothers (maybe?)
Horrible styling
Horrible image split rims
Ludicrous performance claims
Proposterous pricing
Rumours of chassis development by a respected race driver that I also can't remember the name of
It was in evo painted silver.
Someone put me out of my misery. What is this dog that I am thinking of.

"Hello? McLaren's lawyers? Yep, we've got another one for you..."

I agree. It is quite a good looking car, if the F1 had never existed everyone would love it. However the F1 does exist, and this just looks like a bad copy.
