Road tax cost for a 2003 Defender

Looking at a Defender this morning, but am unsure what the road tax is going to be.

Its a 2003 110 CSW TD5 manual, and finding the answer on the web is proving tricky, would someone be able to give me a url for the reg no?

Yes thanks for that I just found exactly that link, £260pa. I wonder if the rate is going to continue to climb in the future. Of course it will!

Yeah, every now and then they threaten to apply the post 2006 bands to all post 2001 cars. It seems to be pretty unpopular though so I don't know how likely it is.

I am pondering going for an earlier car, but there seems to be a sub £10k sweet spot for TD5 110's which makes old (like 10 years older!) cars look poor value, although they have the older and tougher/more reliable engine.

Which ones are exempt from the LEZ? Post 2003 ones? No idea where you live, but if it's near London that might have an affect on values fairly soon?

Don't know a lot about these modern LR's to be honest...Turbo's? Coil springs? Witchcraft.
