A404 yesterday 8pm ish

Hi all, new here.

heading downhill from the Handy Cross roundabout yesterday 14th about 8pm ish there was a Police Volvo on the further bridge where the next turn off is.

Looked like 3 police guys there and lights on. Couldn't see any other vehicle or people up there.

Anyone know what they were up to?

Interesting. I came down the hill about 5 or 10 past and don't think there was anything there. I was concious there might be as someone coming the other way flashed their lights just before it.

Welcome It could possibly have been a speed check or ANPR. Sometimes police cars line up at the roadside to target people they're told to go after by someone with cameras further back up the road. When there was an EDL protest where I live there were police cars stationed at every junction up the motorway to make sure the trouble makers didn't spread beyond the area designated for them to protest in. It could have been anything though to be honest.
