The to facelift L322 Range Rovers.

Thinking an L322 Range Rover might bring a little happines to my life.

I see from a lot of ads a lot of these are being fitted with the newer front end from the present model, together with the latest spec tail lights.

Don't know how good these conversions are. I guess it depends on who does them.

It's a pretty serious mod. There must be insurance implications.

Also, trying to pass a 20 grand car of as a £90,000 motor seems a bit chavvy. (Though I secretly like the idea)

Back in the 1990s something similar happened with Bentley Mulsanne, Eight and Turbo R cars. Older square lamps were replaced by the newer round items knocking years off the look of earlier cars.

To me it looks stupid and they clearly don't belong on that car. A standard one is much cooler.

Personally I prefer the look with the fog lights in the bumber rather than under it.

The conversion is almost as easy as unbolt bumper / grill / lights, bolt on new bumper / grill / lights . . . with a bit of tweakage to the wiring required, depending on the original cars age and spec

Is it possible to get a before/after set of photos versus the current car, so we (the uneducated masses) can compare?

Buy a post 05 (55plate)
That's a facelift on the previous.
It has touch screen nav and reversing camera, the bumper has the dip in-between the headlights.
That'll do you fine.
I wouldnt bother with the conversions they add little or no value and make for even more things to go wrong.
You'll have your hands full as it is.
