not driven an MR car in anger, so don't know if this is normal. They have a reputation for being snappy but this seems to come out of no-where. He seems to be shortshifting as well (??) so not really nailing it, although the conditions do look a bit greasy

Poor guy! Pretty much the same reaction I think I would have given. Looks like he didn't do too much damage to his car hopefully, I'm guessing this car doesn't have one of those [Phed attitude]Pathetic namby pamby traction control systems that ruin cars and are only in place for useless drivers[/Phed attitude]
TCS could have come in handy here!

There was some element of being in convoy and making a decent pace (not racing), it was damp and it did look like a road used by commercial transport who are apt to brim the tank with diesel and have it escaping through the overflow on bends, potentially cheap or old tyres and a bit of bad luck, don't think whoever it was had much of a chance and they were not doing anything wrong.
Short shifted leaving roundabout, off boost.
Floored it, boost came in, rears span up.
Bad luck, but too much throttle on a slippery road.
Good luck, when you think about getting hit by an artic in an aluminium/fibreglass box.
Edited to add: If it turns out it's NA, i'll look rather stupid.

ive driven a VX220t and as far as i remember it didn't boost in a way which would cause that to happen on a plain wet roadFloored it, boost came in, rears span up.

title suggests its NA as well
Sounded like a VX220 Turbo to me (could be wrong?). They aren't lacking torque or power. Looked like it got into the meat of the rev range and broke traction, perhaps before he had the wheel quite straight too. The right side of the road looked to have a bit of standing water.
I've done similar on a slip road in an Elise one cold damp morning. Even traction and stability aids didn't save me!

The music playing from his stereo killed the seriousness for me
In all fairness, that could have gone alot worse!
I think he suffered from an overdramatic soundtrack loading.

It is a modified turbo VX and luckily there was almost no damage to the car.
He was very lucky though!
Blimey. That was very lucky considering the nature of VX bodywork! He was very lucky though!
