Where Are People Selling Cheap Cars These Days?

I have a cheap car that I'm selling, it's probably worth £1000 - £1500, I haven't sold a car for ages so duly went to advertise it on autotrader, however the £35 seems a touch steep for a car of so little value.

I'll probably advertise it on here but I'm not sure it's the sort of thing that would sell from PH.

Where do you go to sell a cheapo motor?

I used PH to sell a non-PH cheap car, it had been bought and collected within 48 hours!

You've been a member long enough to get free premium ads as well (I think?) so you've got nothing to lose by trying it.

I did advertise it today on PH, it's funny, I only expect PH cars to sell not the mundane ones, hopefully I'll be wrong.

Gumtree will shift cheap city car snotters very quickly. PH is also a major port of call for even "boring car" buyers now.

A few months back AT were doing a bargain rate for sub 999 cars. Guess that offer has expired. Never mind. I still managed to shift an old knackard Subaru Forrester for 800 squids through autotrader so still a respectable publication. As mentioned several times... gumtree is the place to shift a stter.

Probably a result of all the pondlife putting in adverts with cars priced at £999 but in the text "PRICE IS £4,999" or similar - often the same lot that enter miles without either "000" or "k" in them so they frustrate people searching by mileage band.

With regard to the OP: A free advert on here, a listing on Ebay or Gumtree should do the trick.

That explains why there appear to be lots of bargins on Autotrader at the moment only for the ad to read "Price is xxxx".

The amount of scammers Gumtree attracts means it is hardly worth the effort. PH is still the place for cheap cars.

Just sold my primera on ebay.
If you can organise the sale to be finalised outside of ebay you will not have to pay as much fees, just the £8 it cost to list it.

My lasses old 1.2 Clio. Was well past it's best, no history, 4 weeks mot to run, 6 weeks tax.. 11 yr old. Put it on eBay for 1k and took 950 the next night for it!

I advertised it on PH and had 6 enquiries within 24 hours and sold it almost immediately to a friends Mum, if I hadn't have sold it to her it would have definately sold on here very quickly!
