Bought from dealer - no heated seats but spec says yes

So I bought a use car from Audi recently after viewing it, driving it, and looking at the spec sheet the sales guy gave me.
As usual, rather than look the user manual, I spent the first 2 months driving it about trying to figure out all the nobs, dials and controls.
After failing to find the controls for the heated seats, I look in the user manual to find the controls. Only trouble is, my car doesn't have those controls, hence no heated seats!
Whilst it's not the end of the world, it is a bit of a stter as it would've been nice for the winter.
So, where do I stand? Can I go back to Audi and ask for something to be done, either heated seats installed, or compensation?
The sales guy was good as gold and don't want to get him in trouble, though I doubt the spec sheet was his responsibility? Also, I'm under no illusions that he was good as gold for a reason - he wanted the sale.
Any advice much appreciated.
P.s I do still have the spec sheet which states that the car has heated seats.

There's usually an "E&OE" or other similar legal disclaimer on spec sheets somewhere too.

Are they standard equipment for the model you bought or were they a factory option?

Assuming the latter from your comments, then if they were so vital - why didn't you check prior to buying the vehicle?

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ you had a chance to inspect and approve the car.

However if you explain the situation they may help by contributing towards some retro fit bum warmers.

I had the opposite .. car was advertised with cloth trim but it was all leather .. naturally i didn't mention make a fuss about it to the dealer!

Yes I see your point. It's not vital as such, and as I said, my usual approach is to get in and figure out everything for myself once I've driven off!

Disclaimer or no disclaimer, it's worth pointing out the spec sheet misled you, in a nice way, and that you're a tad disappointed.

They may well act on it. If they don't you can then make achoice on wether its worth any hassle and whether you feel pursuing it will get you anywhere.

Not two months later, though. There's no way of having that conversation without coming across as a complete knob.

I guess they should do something for you. I don't rate hearted seats, and driving in -10 in my E39 last winter with the heater going I did not once think "I would really like my arse to be as warm as my feet are right now". I don't even know if they were an option on the E39 to be honest.

They were - my Brother's old E39 540 touring (6spd!) had heated seats - sort of nice in a way, even if it did occasionally catch you by surprise and make you think you'd wet yourself

Why? He's bought the car in the middle of Spring/ Summer, it's not unfeasible that he hasn't realised lack of heated seats until now, as it isn't something you'd typically use during these months.

I don't see why? There's a lot to take on with a new car. I would still have the conversation.

Mine's got them and they're ace, not uncomfortably hot and very, very relaxing on long drives or in cold weather

Sounds like you got the car around May. So you would have not had a real reason to try the seats yet!. No harm in going back & raising it with them...

Sold 'not as described' - you're protected by consumer rights. However... the dealer has the right to offer you a repair or replacement before you may take further action. As long as you are satisfied and they have been reasonable then everyone should be happy.
