So, which cars can beat 4 seconds 0 to 60 mph?

It seems to me there are quiet a few cars that are in the 4.7 second range, but not so many under 4 seconds.

A few I can think of that are cracking sub 4 seconds are Caterham, Ultima, Noble & Skyline and doing it in standard form.

Now, to make things fair, anyone with enough money could mod any car to perform this target, so a mod limit of say £2000 is allowed!

Cheers for your suggestions,

smile

Seen the last part of your post...

Reliant Kitten with Saab turbo engine. I've not read the whole thread but from the initial specs I reckon it could ace it.

997.2 Turbo S

Very few cars would beat one to 60.

Ariel Atom V8 surely?

All current Ferrari models for one thing. I expect likewise for Lamborghini.

Me and my father were sitting there looking at the jag saying to each other... ermm... that's a jag? The seasoned jag buyer does not go for that kind of stuff and I think they would probably go for the skyline instead? Jag buyers ain't stupid.

I remember getting a lift from some nutter who'd just bought a light metallic blue V12 jag of some sort which cost him £500 squid and at the same time he was explaining that it wasn't possible to get more than 300hp for less we were gliding towards a busy junction from around 100 yards away with the ABS buzzing and no real feeling of any sort of loss of momentum. It was proper jag-style. We stopped in time for the junction but I know he had completely bald tyres and had started the braking process around 500 yards before the junction.

Do you mean 3 seconds?

Pretty much every supercar out there does it in less than 4, there are loads...........

Only the 4.5 (4.2s to 60 for the 4.2, and 4.5 for the Speed Six I think). Has anyone actually clocked one at 3.9s to 60?

I don't really understand the point of your story; "Jags with bald tyres don't brake well"?

You could probably list 50 cars at least...........

It's more a test of gearbox's and traction now, as power can do too much.

30-130 is more interesting in performance cars, or 0- 150 IMO.
