Anybody near Hatfield got a mk3 Capri and a spare 20 mins?

Myself and Mrs K are looking at buying a Capri but are just a bit concerned about fitting ourselves & two kids in one as I'm 6'5 and my other half is 6ft, most cars feel small to us! Does anybody near Hatfield/Welwyn Garden City in Herts have one and wouldn't mind letting us have a sit in it, try the kids' booster seats, and such? I don't have the heart to organise a viewing with a private seller when we don't have a real intention to buy right away.

edit: We're also pondering mk1/mk2 Golfs, while we're on the subject...!

Can't help with the request but from (distant) memory of my mk2 3L Capri they are plenty roomy in the front for tall people but not much space in the rear.

WRT mk2 Golfs, if you get one with a sunroof it saps vital cms and I think you'd struggle. Some have height adjustable drivers seats which should mean there's no problem.

You should be alright in the front but you're right to check. You'll probably have to wind the seats right back.

Re the rear seats, two boosters should sit on the two individual rear seats fine but not all Mk3s had rear belts - maybe they became standard on the later Lasers and 2.8 Injections?

Once the kids grow out of the boosters they will find the rear cramped though. Sloping roofline makes it a bit claustrophobic which is not good for kids travel sickness on long journeys.

Thanks for the advice guys, have heard they're good for front space. Hopefully someone local will chirp up with one for us to look at and avoid wasting a seller's time.
