Extravagent treatment for unextravagent cars

On my walk to work I go through a company car park usually around the same time as a very car proud driver pulls in.
He parks, gets out, walks around to check the gaps either side, gets back in, reverses, parks again, then checks the gaps either side again. Once he's happy people arent likely to open a door into his car, he gets back in, puts on a steering lock, gets out, uses the remote central locking to lock the car, then procedes to walk around the car checking each door.
This is in a secure car park, surounded by decent enough cars, so you're probably thinking the car in question must be something pretty special, perhaps a classic, or top end executive saloon, but no.........this is a Skoda Roomster Scout!!
Okay, rather be car proud then not care at all, but what car thief would walk into the car park, look at the Beemers and Mercs, then catch glimps of the Roomster and decide that's the car for him!! I appreciate there's a lot of room in the back for bags of swag, and the visability means you can see which way the cop are coming after a bank heist, but surely it must be at the very bottom of the list of cars likely to be stolen, even by potential bank robbers, and no joy rider would steal it unless they were over 60.
Fair play, guy looks after what he's got, but does make me smile a bit when he's that over cautious with his car. Value and beauty are in the eye of the beholder no doubt.
