Two weeks ago had an attemped house burglary, trying to nick the car keys.

House Alarm did it's job and they legged it, knew what they where doing to break the house door lock. So locks replaced, upgraded etc.

Last night now find next door had visitors and lifted the bottom fence panel out to get into my property. Don't know what they where upto because nothing touched or disturbed with the house.

I have to work hard to buy and run my motors.

The area is Sutton Coldfield just outside Birmingham, seems to be a target for high value and fast motors at the moment.

Just be careful fellow fast car buffs! Lock and nail everything down!

Paul.

I'm down the road in Solihull we have far more determined scum.

They jumped a 4ft fence, crowbared through a 6' close board fence and pushed through my 6ft deep conifers.

To then crowbared into my (heavily locked) shed.

They then removed the wheel clamp from my jetski trailer and made off with the ski via the side exit.

Being in mind it was an old ski and I always leave it without the (expensive to replace) seat it was maybe worth £500 to an end user so perhaps £100 from a fence.

They could have got a job that paid far better !

I always think this. You must admire their determination though!

I feel for you, i owrk at BMW sutton coldfield and live in Solihull. We are getting regular visits from Police I know of 6 people in the last few weeks that have had cars nicked. They reckon about 6 cars a night in those areas are being nicked. Really is worrying thought i lived somewhere relatively safe..!!

Will certainly make it hard for them if they wish to drive it away.

Just hope they aren't willing to break into your house and threaten you with a weapon.

If it won't start, they'll leave it. A hidden switch, relay, whatever, that cuts the fuel pump or the ignition would do it. They won't kick your back doors in to get you to come out and help bump start it - they might do to get a key for a disclock.
And re the jetski - I know what I'd be putting in the middle of the conifer hedge (provided kids don't use the garden). Razor wire or mains cable. Or both.
bds the lot of 'em.
