Whats this part? Found loose in engine bay....

Electrical connector with what appears to be copper strips embedded in plastic at the other end....it may or may not of been cut through on the strip end, cant tell 100%.

Found it between the right side of the engine and the airbox on my 2002 Focus TDCi just dangling unattached amongst some of the wiring/pipework. Had a check round and cant see anywhere obvious it should go if indeed its actually off this car!

Note i hadnt been doing anything in that area of the engine bay either!!

Where you at Sainsburys Lincoln Petrol today some bloke had the bonnet up on a 2002 focus seemed to pick a lead out of the engine bay move rattle the airbox a bit and then shut the lid looking as his wife/gf to suggest he had now fixed what ever problem it had with a smile on his face...

It looks like the connection that's attached to the heated front windscreen. There should be one at each end of the windscreen.

Nope wasn't me at Sainsburys.

Well the heated front screen works so maybe the part was changed a while back....may of had a new windscreen at some point.

Diagnostic lead maybe for plugging into sensors? The end looks like something you attach crocodile clips to.

It's the old ribbon tag from the heated windscreen.
