How much wine can I fit in my Focus?

I need to go to France and buy 180 bottles of wine, can I safely bring them home in my 07 Focus TDCi? The wine weighs 1.3kg per bottle and I reckon it's under 1sqm in volume total (packed in boxes of 6) but don't know how many boxes high I can stack up without it cracking the bottom ones or what the car can carry without its 125k mile old suspension collapsing!

I can borrow an Octavia TDi wagon but it's much easier to just take the Focus if possible. Could I fit more wine on top or am I at the limit for the car?!

Same weight as 3 adults. Should be OK... Stacking 2 heigh is OK too but would not want an accident with all those loose boxes...

Should be fine. 99 empty bottles (in boxes of 6) didn't take up that much room in our 57 Focus. You can stack them quite high without problems. A focus with 3 adult passengers and a full boot probably carries more. Some way of securing them might be sensible though.

Weight-wise you're fine, it's about the same as 3-4 adults.
