I would have thought that the debt would be passed on the the repo company, who "pay for" the debt then recover goods and sell/auction them to recover their costs?

Pretty much a guess but it sort of makes sense.

Yes - this is just a secondhand car sales place with a catchy name that makes people think they're getting a bargain. No different to any other car lot. They're actually next door to Fords of Winsford which creates a nice bit of passing trade.

May be some fire engines soon, the company that owns all the London ones went bust a few weeks ago and the creditors were talking about selling the assets

Wow stuff is dirt cheap over there. I like the Honda Beat listed on there as well. I am very surprised that car financing companies will finance cars for this period however. In the us at least there is a limit to the cars age mileage and term of loan so if they are true repo's you must have some very generous finance companies in the UK especially given the current economic climate
