AHhhhhhhhh Help me choose a car

Looking for something that does 60 in around 5 seconds, 4 door, or 4 seater coupe. Max £35k. couple of years old.

Will do 15k miles a year, so it needs to be 'relatively' economical.

Like German stuff, Currently have an Alpina D3 as a daily drive. I get 42-45mpg out of that. Love the exclusivity, and the way it drives.

Thinking:

C63 - but a 6.2 V8 as a daily??
ISF - Love the idea, not sold on the looks - maybe I'm a brand snob
B3 B-Turbo - Seems to tick all the boxes, just there are no decent ones for sale

Any other suggestions?

TBH, it doesnt sound like your totally ready to get rid of current car. Send it for some performance modifications and keep the cash?

Nice problem to have. What about a V8 M3 (though I believe its only a coupe), or alternatively an Audi RS4/RS5 ?

Alternatively, do you really need 4 seats, V8 Vantage perhaps ? Hardly practical, but a thing of beauty.

Ruled out the M3 as most reports say it is a BIG drinker

You do get it in saloon variant, seen 5 or 6 so far.

OP, surely the C63 will be even worse than the M3 on fuel? Does it need to get a certain MPG minimum?

Could a two year old GTR meet what your after think you can pick those up around that price? Not too sure what they are like for mpg and running costs are quite high!

for 35k, look no further than a GT-R. Not that bad on servicing either if you use one of the reputable indys.

Its rocketship fast.

Doesn't really fit the brief but what the hell? Get one now while you can. In years to come our grandkids will never believe that it was possible to get a family saloon with a 6.2 V8. In fact, they'll probably never believe that you actually used to have to drive a car yourself with pedals and gearshifts and everything.

I want one badly and the fact that it really does represent the last of its kind means that you should, and must, act now.

If you are spending up to 35K on a secondhand car under 2 years old then why not but something that drinks more
but costs 10K less. The depreciation is going to cost plenty even if it sips fuel.

D3 is approaching 60k miles - I know, I know - its nothing!

My good friend has a GTR - and they are by no means cheap to run, but then its a 3ish second 60 car.

Monaros, I get them, but cant see myself in one - maybe the image.

Good shout on getting something 10k cheaper - ISF fits that bill.

The Alpina B3 is a 4.6 to 60 car, and does return 30mpg when driven gently..

C63 is expensive to run.. thats almost ruled out..

IS-F or B3/B3S... maybe..
