It doesnt look too bad but with 25-35k to spend you could have a 'real' Exige S2 or Elise SC or any other number of fast fun cars (m3/m5/s4 etc). Not sure I would go for a replica with that money to spend.

They do good Ferrari 360 and 430 replicas based on the Peugeot 406 Coupe as well.

Why piss about spending £20k+ on a body kitted MR2, when you can get a real Lamborghini or Ferrari for similar money . . . I can see the point in many kit cars, but the only one I can think of with these things, is to con people into thinking you can afford a real one

Looks ok but they all have an angle that they just look wrong. Also you'll be disappointed every time you start it up.

It's not going to be Lambo fast though, it's not going to sound like a Lambo, it's not going to feel like a Lambo.

Why not just tune up and bodykit an MR2 for less than half the price if that's what you're into - a TRD kit will make it look exotic enough.

A real Ferrari for £20k? A useable one? Yeah right.

For 20k you've got a choice of a very good Mondial 3.2/3.4T a decent 308, a perfect 400/412 and 348, all far far preferable to a fked about with MR2 that will NEVER sound or go anything like the real thing

And when you come to sell it, you won't be selling a Toyota in drag.

No offense to OP but I can think of few things I dislike less in the car world than Replicas.

I'd laugh my socks off if someone pulled up next to me with a highly strung turbo charged Toyota instead of the nice v12 rumble.

And they surely must be hard to sell afterwards. Spend your money on something decent like a Lotus as suggested.

The first one is lovely, Bertone at its best. The second one is fugly to me and if irrc they only squeezed about 270bhp from that engine? I think both of these would bum rape your wallet to keep going.

As for your next post. the mk2 MR2 turbos (import only) were actually very good, especially the final revision which sorted out some of the psycho handling characterisitcs. It even had traction control. So pretty modern stuff really. And very solid/reliable, even if they're tuned up to 300-400bhp. Its actually a cracking little car and complete bargain if you can get a mint one. Bit max power for my liking mind.

I have no real problems with identical replicas. It is a bit like walking around with a giant dildo slid down the side of your jeans, though. Its going to be embarrassing when you finally take the jeans off.
