I drive 30 miles every day in mine. I get around 34 mpg if I drive it at 70 on the motorway. Best to turn the radio up though as it's quite loud.
Service intervals are 9000 miles so they come around quite quickly.
Pretty much the only tyre that comes in the standard size is the Goodyear Eagles that come as standard. Only Suzuki seem to have any though. I fitted 205/40/17 on mine instead.
The low profile tyres give quite a harsh ride and they don't like potholes. A new wheel was £280 and there's no spare or space saver, just tyre foam and an inflator.
It's a bit more expensive to run than a normal car but loads more fun. Take a test drive and chuck it at a corner and you'll probably fall in love.

The commute is 52 miles round trip on mostly B road although it will be mine and my wife's main car (She's running an Audi A4 1.9Tdi with 150K miles on so very soggy and tired but does a 20 mile round trip into Leicester every day)
Maybe its not for me then.
I do have a 1970 Rover P5B and a 4.0L Chimaera but obviously they're not terribly good as commuter cars due to their economy or rather lack of it at circa 20 MPG and runing costs in general.

I get my tyres from Blackcircles, I know a few SOC members have changed to 205's to increase the choice but it handles so well on the standard fit, I'd hate to change them. Alloys must've gone up, I kerbed one and was quoted £185 from suzuki (unless yours included a tyre I suppose!), still bloody dear. One thing I really dislike is the lack of the spare, however I do have a spare tyre in the boot (must get round to picking up a wheel for it...) And no good for long runs?! Pah. I covered Surrey to Seahouse - about 80 miles short of Edinburgh, coming back I only stoppped for fuel. I've just done Surrey to the Peak District and back, about 500 miles on £90 of fuel. So definitely not economical!! (Couldn't possibly be the way it's driven!!)

Don't worry, it handles just as well on the 205s.I didn't say it wasn't good for long distances. I've just got back from a 3838 mile round trip to Greece in it. It was great fun but motorway speeds are a little noisy (not as bad as my 97 Impreza turbo was though).
