I've not had the chance to experience many sports cars before but last weekend I got a brief passenger ride in an F430 Spider and I thought I'd share my thoughts on it.

It was loud. Really loud. While it sounded good, I honestly thought the TVR Griffith I'd been in before sounded better. That said, he didn't get much above 6000 rpm.

It was fast. Of course, I expected it to be fast so this wasn't really a shock. I do think there was probably a lot more to come though as I don't think we really went much above 6k as I said.

The thing that really impressed me was the stability. Being so low, in a car so wide, with suspension that firm and no roll, squat or dive gave you an immense feeling of confidence, and that was just from the passenger seat. The best way I found to describe it was like a big go kart, but a lot more comfortable, and a lot more money!

Getting back into my S4 afterwards felt like I was driving a bouncy castle.
