Film and TV Car Hire Agencies

I was just having a browse through the internet and came across a couple of agencies that as an owner you can register with and then they can hire your car out to various production companies etc. (if it gets picked/if you agree).

Has anybody got any experience of these places? Is it a good idea? I think it would be a bit of fun to potentially see my car in an advert or in the background of a TV show, plus it would be earning a little bit of keep (though I'm sure not very much!).

Any anecdotes or advice would be greatly appreciated.

A friend of my dad used to loan out his old bus and cars to Yorkshire television for Heartbeat. Not sure what he got for it though.

I was also thinking about the insurance consequences, obviously you have to inform your insurance company, but would they pile on the premium?
