Since when did 40 become the new 50?

Funny, but the contraflow on the M60 around the East of Manchester is set as 40 - it just seems way too slow.

I always thought they set contraflows at 50?

No, just that people are used to slowing to 50 in a contraflow, if they make it a 40 then those spec cameras will pay for their keep in no time
