Google Streetview Your Car?

Well, I was just doing something with the service book for my car when I spotted the name and address of the person that had it from brand new, from 2006. So, I popped the postcode into Google Maps to see if it was a nice area, because I'm weird like that.

I didn't expect to see this:

When I was buying my car (from Wales) I Google Streetviewed the road just to try and figure out where it was, at the owners suggestion. Unfortunately he lived up a lane they hadn't gone up so couldn't see the car, but I could see him walking his dog!

I did the same with my current car but it looks like the streetview camera either never made it up the street or the neighbours asked for it to be removed.

Our current lane isn't on there either, which I'm pretty pleased about.

Yes, when Streetview covered my street I had a Focus. But it's not in the picture, so I was probably at work!

I can see the house with the garage door open where the car was stored by the previous owner but a high hedge means I can't see the car

Not the same, but I can find myself on Streetview in my old car. On our way to the zoo about 200km from home, I saw the camera car coming so gave them a wave. It took them around 6 months to get the picture uploaded into Streetview though.

Maybe not 5 years then. I've had the car since November, previous owner just over a year I think. So yeah, maybe just over two years! Still cool though!
