It's OK, it's an Alfa. Apparently they break down a lot, so you can claim off the AA the next time it's recovered.

Very common. See a lot of this esp on areas where the paint is stone chipped such as leading edges of bonnets & front bumpers.
If you must use a pressure washer on your car then nozzle no nearer than a metre to the paintwork.
If its any consolation, I did the same trick a few years ago to the lacquer on the bonnet of my own car by not paying attention to what I was doing. Cure is a bonnet respray.
A lot of the car wash places use pressure washers round my area & they ALL have the nozzles far too close to tha paint.
Also be careful using high pressure water round any areas with seals as whilst they will keep normal road spray out they may not keep hpw out.
Don't forget that hpw is used for cutting concrete & metal!

Is it just me or does it look like the metals just been keyed then painted? i.e. no primer?

A local body repair place near me reckons the bonnet has been subject to a poor repair in the past, and the primer has not attached to the metal properly. He is sure it wouldn't have come from the factory like that, and notes that in his eyes the bonnet is a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the car anyway.

The pressure washer fired high pressure water. I'd say it did what it should.

I SMART repair professionally, so my time & the paint only!
Last bonnet price I heard locally to me - from 2 bodyshops I often suggest - was £300 for a 306 size bonnet. But that was a while ago.

I had this happen with a home pressure washer at home, on a badly painted bonnet on my old Corrado.. pressure washed a few inch strip of paint off the leading edge one day! Was really pleased about that!!

On a positive note, in the first picture, your car looks very clean and the paintwork looks lovely
