Most expensive car key?

I've recently been quoted £150 for a replacement key for a 10 year old clio, which got me thinking, what are other manufacturers charging?!

£265 for an Alfa GT - includes fob, blade, obtaining code from Italy, and programming.

A friend of the family was quoted over £1k to have a key cut and programmed for his Flying Spur. He thought he'd enquire as he was selling and thought a spare key would help (he'd lost the original spare)
Needless to say, he sold it with one key...

Brother had a 3200GT but didn't have the red ecu key, quoted £2,000 by Maserati to replace the ecu and give him a new key.

He declined and kept hold of the black keys very tightly from then on.

Usual Mazda flip out blade key is around £200-£240 cut & coded.

BUT why does the face say 'DBS' (or 'DB5') when the article says it's an option for a Rapide?

Cant imagine the Aston Martin 'Emotion Control Unit' Would be too cheap should you lose one and need it re-coding.

Good point. No idea though. I wonder if Aston have made it available for other models?

Watch model is amvox ........dbs. was brought out when the rapide wasn't available but guess you can reprogramme them.
