Except these guys maybe.... biggrin

This Wednesday saw one of the bigger shows in the area, the long standing Classics on the Common in Harpenden. (Offical website: http://www.classicsonthecommon.com/)

This is a long standing event originated with Peter Madden and the P5 Owners club, now organised by HVRC.

Lovely weather (well warm and not wet at least!!) saw a record turn out this year. And lots and lots of lovely motor cars.

Some of the Yanks on display:

Lots of variety though and a car for almost everyone:

whilst i appreciate the diversity that they offer, by and large old american stuff leaves me totally cold, with the exception of that frankly gorgeous corvette stingray and possibly the challengers.

Oddly it looks way better in the flesh than in pics. This one is better than mint too. I'm sure they never came out of the factory as good as this one.

I like American cars from 1900 to 1971. Then they get a bit crap except for the '87 Buick GNX until a few years ago when they started to rediscover their roots a little and now they seem on a positive path again.
