As above, what's the cheapest you've ever bought and run?

I just spent £200 on a Pug 306, spent £30 on 2 bushings and 2 brake discs to get it through MOT, Who can beat that? Rat motoring at its finest!

£250 on a 93 1.8 mondeo with 105k on the clock. i taxed it and sold it 4 months later for £450. gotta love those polish buyers! was a great car

£300 for a1 owner 97 plate Laguna as a 6 month snotter to tide
me over. That was 2 years ago, the thing just won't die.

£150 Triumph Dolomite 1850HL, with tax and MOT. But no gears 1st to 3rd. Made driving it home fun...

My current 1997 Alfa 155 cost me £401 off Ebay and has cost me nowt in't last 6 months - just got it a nice new shiny MOT with 2 bulbs and a slight adjustment of the rear brakes!

Uncle gave me a B reg Panda many years ago that ran for a few months until its MOT ended - I then had to pay £10 to have a scrappy take it!

£50 on a clio with a dodgy starter motor that the guy couldnt be bothered to fix. Needed a couple of very minor things for the MOT, a replacement starter from the scrappy then sold for £350

£30 for a fiat uno with 60k miles and 9 months mot it lasted my then girlfriend 3 years until some turd broke into it and the insurance co wrote it off

£200 1994 Suzuki Vitara with what turned out to be a very dodgy MOT (Rotten sills, inner wing, seat belt mounts, shocking brakes...) and a few months tax.

I will also point out thats the only car ive ever bought.

Free passat . Had to put a battery on it to drove it home. Drove it for quite a few months and them gave it away to a ph 'er

£170 for a Mk2 Ashtray about 10 years ago. In many ways I preferred it to the Golf Vr6 that replaced it.

My first car was a 1985 Ford Fiesta 1.1 which i bought in 2002 for £295 with a full MOT, the previous owner had even put a go faster stripe on it, which may have explained why it was so cheap.

First car was a £900 Rover 214.
A couple of weeks after buying it I left the work car park and stopped 20yds on at a giveway. Driver behind didn't and I got £800 plus the car from his insurance. Carried on driving it, only needing to replace the two rear number plate bulbs to pass the MOT. Scrapped it for £30 at next MOT (needed tyres, discs, pads, clutch and an exhaust valve had burnt out).

£70 for two years motoring. I doubt I'll ever repeat that.

I had a £160 metro which i weighed in for about the same after a few months and a broken sump, I then replaced it with a £112 cinquecento which lasted a year and weighed in for £150 shame the missus is a snob now I'd love a snotter so i could have an expensive to run car now

My first car, a Mini, cost me £50. It had a few problems, but ran a lot better after I fitted a couple of new valves. Got £500 for it when I p/exed it against my next car.
