A4 Soft top what's the catch

We took my wifes A3 5door to the garage today for a service 2005 average milage/ condition. As we left she saw an A4 cab and said that's what I really want. I've looked and her car is reailing at about the 5K mark and similar year/milage A4 cabs are around the same price. There must be a catch in there apart from increased insurance? I've not put this on the Audi forum as I would appreciate opinions from the wider forum. At the moment it seems a no brainer to swap?

Nothing wrong with A4 cabs, I ran one for 4 years, only thing to avoid really is multitronic fwd auto (quattro tiptronic is fine though) and the 2.4 v6 is a bit weezey and heavy on fuel. Get a tidy 1.8T and you should be fine, oh and watch out for the amount of comedians with S-line badges on older cars trying to get S-line money for basic or sport models.
