The wearing of Hoodies when driving legal?
Discussion
Well its in the highway code to not wear sunglasses while driving at night. Theres also laws on not blocking the vision out of your vehicle etc but i dont think theres anything to stop you wearing a hoodie while driving. Not yet anyway. In about ten years the highway code will have a specific section for the Saxo-modders 'ear me now u not wear dat hood while drivin innit'.

On my way home from work tonight a 5 series bmw pulled up along side me at the lights and both the driver and passenger where wearing hoodies with the hoods up, looked rather shady to me is this legal to do?
For a 22 year old you don't half spend your time on here either telling people to stop whinging/shut-up or you yourself are whinging about people.Have you thought about perhaps not being so bloody provocative and just get on with your own life?
I've done it once or twice on the way back from friends or partners houses, I sometimes get a bit self conscious when I've left the roof off and would rather look like a chav than a bedraggled scab. Not been pulled over yet although you can almost feel the hate at the traffic lights.
Was probably me
Well not really but I was out with a mate, both wearing hoods up looking dodgy as possible in my BMW. Pure Gangster for respect innit.
edited to add: its always better when someone looks intimidated for us to roll down the window and have some completely rediculous song playing. George Michales "last christmas2 is always good in the middle of summer.

One to add to my list, I am generally wary of anyone driving wearing headgear of any kind, whether it be baseball cap, right or wrong way round, or as sometimes seen at a daft angle, flat cap, trilby, and now hoodie has been added, I would certainly perceive such a driver as one to watch carefully.

That made me laugh as I suspect I'm probably the only owner of my 172 that has ever tuned the stereo to Radio 2 & Radio 4. I don't do it for a reaction but people probably don't expect it when I pull up at the lights

Bald head + convertible + sunny skies = absolute necessity for headgearI keep a snazzy selection of cranium coverings in the car for just such an eventuality
