Just pluck a figure out of the air - the glass's figures on that site never seemed close to what any car of mine was worth either to me or to a dealer as a trade-in in my experience.

Looks the same site. Doesn't work for me.

Possibly a blessing, many times I have been put off by a car as the price was way over the Glass's price off the Vauxhall website.

I've seen some guide books on ebay.

It was never particularly accurate anyway. Always gave a much lower figure than the real Glass' trade in price.
This recent example (done last week) highlights the case;

you say cheaper, ive been keeping my eye on the value of the wife 09 c3 picasso.

its valued at about 8k last time i looked. (last month)

if i get anything above 7k i'll be massivley suprised.

but at least its a starting point.

It's a 2002 '02' Seat Toledo V5 170. 95k miles, FSH, 5 owners and 11 months MOT. The prices online seem very variable... but I'm thinking it's worth bugger all

Hmmm, the retail figure is £400 more than I paid for the car 2.5 years and 20k miles ago. Now if only I could persuade someone to buy it at that price...

Is the Glass's 'retail' price a private seller would recieve, or retail for a trader btw?
