...of of a sudden I have an appreciation the Impreza hatchback!

It has to be in STi guise but I think I actually like how it looks!! I see a grey one at the gym I go to quite a lot and it's certainly a muscular looking thing and if I was in the market for a powerful petrol powered hatchback right now, I reckon I have to take a look at these on top of a RS Focus.

Anyone else all of a sudden warmed to the hatch Scooby?

I've liked it for a while. I prefer hatch/estate cars to saloons generally.

But I also like the 1 series hatch, so there's obviously something wrong with me!

The STi does look good, the square wheel arch bulges give it the look of the Integrale or UR-Quattro.

The current WRX by comparison looks very bland (which has it advantages in Q-ness).

Hopefully, as they are generally hated, their valve will continue to slide smile

Yes there is something wrong with you. I'd suggest you see a doctor immdiatley. Ugly car! looks like a hatchback lacetti driven through a branch of halfords

...that Lacetti actually looks pretty good to me. I'd rate it above a lot of the more 'accepted' hatches.

Glad I'm not the only one starting to like the STI hatch. Needs the red/clear rear light conversion and it's a million times better.

Snap.

There's a young lad round yur who has one o'these, resplendent with a black bonnet; black n blue, always a winning combo.

They are just so, oh, I dunno, 'honest,' having transgressed the usual round of tedious, contemporaneous, motoring stereotypes to now slip right past the attentions of supercilious evaluations to comfortably take their place amongst the pantheon of good, clean and eminently worthy, blue collar rioters, including old favourites such as the Escort Mexico and Capri 3.0S.
