I'm just getting some quotes for my new car...swift cover online seems quick and easy with a very good price.

anyone here use them?
yeah the price is good but are they a decent insurance company to deal with, if the st hits the fan?

Are they the ones that reduce your NCB for a windscreen claim?

you really can't second guess with insurance companies can you hehe

they have given good quotes on all four of the cars I'm looking at, NO I'm not buying all four but I can't decide what to go for.
I thought getting some quotes might thin my choices down a bit rolleyes but nope, the joys of getting old I suppose

cheers

I moved to them last month, saving myself a small fortune!
So far so good, straight forward and the online system is very easy to use. They are part of AXA

Very good from me, been with them years and had no problems with them. In fact as a measure of how good I think they are, they are the first company I ever renewed with, I always used to change but they always give a good price.

ahh!!!
yeah Cost of policy is not the most important factor with insurance, it is the level of service you receive when the st hits the fan!
that is when you need them most...I'd rather pay slightly more to be with a better firm (if you see what I mean) hence the question asked

anyone else heard (or better experienced) good/bad when it comes to having to make a claim off them?

Just renewed my insurance & Swiftcover came out cheapest. BUT they only give 3 days european cover as standard, any extension green card has to be paid for. There were some other odds & sods that I didn't like either.
The other issue with a lot of insurance is I have Class 1 business use. A lot of insurance co's don't extend the Class1 to europe. As I occasionally use the car to travel into europe for work this is an issue. Hastings Direct & I parted co. because of this.

Can't add any experience of making a a claim but certainly they're competitive on price for my E65 and they've been fine for me for three years. 3 days Euro cover is a pain though!

Will never use them again.

When I changed from a 1.8 Focus to a 1.6 1 Series, they refused to cover me. So had to cancel the policy, I was charged £240-ish to cancel an £800 policy that I was 6 Months in to. I'd also been with them for a whole year before, never made a claim.

I couldn't afford to pay the £240 in one go, so opted for 2x Monthly Payments, but they wouldn't give me my proof of no claims until I'd payed the full amount, in turn this bumped up my new insurance policy from £1005 to £3500!

In short, I will never, ever use them again. They still come up with the cheapest quotes come renewal time, but I'd rather pay extra than use them again.

This doesn't make sense unless I am missing something.

Surely it would have been better to beg or borrow the £240, rather than have to stump up £2500 extra....scratchchin

The new insurance company took the next monthly payment off me based on the £3000-odd pound annual premium.

I sent a not very nice E-Mail to Swift Cover, in which they took four days to reply to. In that time I had already stumped up the second payment just to get my proof.

Presented that to new insurer, who then told me they couldn't refund me the higher monthly payment, but reduce my existing payments accordingly.

So in the space of just over 1 month, I had to pay approx £80 deposit for new insurance, £240 to cancel existing policy and £200-300 (can't quite remember)for the increase to my new policy.

So they left quite a bitter taste in my mouth.

Lesson well and truly learnt regarding reading policy T+Cs!

I had an A3 before the Z4 which Swiftcover insured but then wouldn't insure the Z4 (as I was only 23 at the time). They refunded the policy pro rata without deductions because it was 'them and not me', if you will.
