Any police chase stories?

Just watched traffic cops and it got me thinking that in 10 years driving I don't think I've ever seen a police chase pass me on the roads, a ridiculously reckless driver or even seen a dramatic stop of any kind. Anyone got any stories?
I know how you feel.Like you're missing out

I got chased once.
Driving up the country middle of night on the 23rd of December or something like that. Me and my mate decided that if we stripped off that the girls in the back would do likewise.
Fast Forward a few minutes and Mr Dave overtakes a mondeo swerving all over the road and may have been doing a few miles an hour over the limit and a police car stuck the blues and twos on and pulled out of a side road.
Since we were going pretty quickly we decided to just keep it planted, hope for the best and turn off a side road as it was a twisty enough road and the police 4x4 wouldnt be able to catch up or follow up or see the number plate. (I WAS AN IDIOT!)
So pull off main road into a side road and realise that it was a carpark rather than a side road. f
k says me. So me and my friend fire on clothes.
So "hello mrs police woman" says me, my mate half naked, two fully clothed girls in the back seat and me with my fly open, shoes off and a t-shirt on inside out and backwards.
She didnt know what to think!

Showing off in my MK1 Golf GTI, had a mate in the car and I had just finished my shift on the bar at the pub I worked at, hammering down a 40 limit I passed and AA van with a car behind it and behind that a Police Sierra, the Copper clocked me but was pointing the wrong way so I decided to jib down a couple of side roads to avoid an awkward explanation, the second I realised my plan hadn't worked I stopped and was promptly along with my mate dragged from the car and cuffed
Was being b
ked by the copper, hands behind my back with my front against the car, my mate was on the other side, both looking very worried, thought I had lost my licence for sure, I gave him my details and once he ascertained it was my car, it was insured and I was cooperating his demeanour changed and he removed the cuffs. He explained that he saw a Golf GTI flying towards Wythenshawe (a colourful area) and assumed we had stolen it, he calmed down and seemed to be ok and he asked me why I was going so fast and I volunteered falteringly "We were looking for a chippy", I expected a lecture about no chips being worth dying for and being told what the next step was to me becoming a Bus passenger and he just said "Hmm, chips, I think midweek you will be struggling, but there is one on Portway that might still be open and if you get a move on you might be lucky", get a move on indeed, no points, no producer, no nothing !
Another one, same car, dropped a young lady off following a night out and it was about midnight, blasted home and got spotted by a Pug 309 half way there, saw the lights come on but it was a good way behind, again, decided to continue and see what happened, lights changed so I didnt have to stop, left right, left right and was home, scooted up the drive and turned the lights off, see the blue lights fly past, say very worried in my bedroom for a hile in case they spotted the car tucked up in the dark between the houses, still not been to see me though !
I hasten to add, I don't do this now !

Haha, I've heard of a local guy who had been speeding and thought he could outrun the police so just put his foot down completely on the D/C. Police had blocked off a roundabout on the DC and he ended up just going round and round in cicles on the roundabout till he got bored.
I've been told that when my father was younger he used to get chased by police, his tactic was simple, going down some residential areas once he had got some distance away from the police, make a very quick parallel park and hide in the footwell of his car. Worked aswell. But that was many moons ago.

I remember driving home from work some years ago and being aware of the police helicopter being up in the sky not far ahead of me. As I was wondering what was going on, I approached a roundabout and just before I was about to enter a presumably stolen car entered and went round the wrong way, followed by a plod car with the blues and two's blaring. I then proceeded on my way as normal. Just another day in Coventry!!
I suppose my only run in with the police is worth mentioning too.. had just turned 21 and got my first VW Corrado (only a 16V). On the way back from a friends late one night on the Coventry ring-road I noticed a Peugeot 205 GTI catch up behind me so we both proceeded to give it some beans. The roads were deserted, and I was stupid so we went roaring off at 100MPH+ (roads were a 40MPH). As I was steaming along (and the Peugeot had left me for dead!) I just happened to glance in the rear view mirror to see flashing blue lights approaching very quickly. I almost shat myself and began to panic.. but backed off and the police car hared past me to go after the Peugeot. Phew... lucky escape or so I thought.
Congratulating myself at my good fortune, I turned off at my junction and pulled up at some lights.. turned out exactly where they'd pulled the other chap over! Summoned over, and given a b
king - but once they realised I was not going to give them a mouthful and was very apologetic they were a lot easier on me and just advised me they'd be looking out for me and if I got caught driving like that again, it'd be trouble! Went on my way, tail between my legs!

I once saw a green early Primera being chased by a couple of cop cars on the M3.
A couple of days later i saw what looked like the same Primera still being chased.
Either it was the longest chase EVER or some sort of training
Did the BIB just wait while the Primera filled up!? :SA couple of days later i saw what looked like the same Primera still being chased.
