I am looking to get a VW Golf Match DSG with either the 1.4TSI or the 2.0TDI engine. Performance wise they are pretty similar but the economy on the diesel is better. Albeit the TDI costs £2,000 more to buy. I do about 9,000 miles a year.

Does anyone have experience of using both these engines and which one is better? I drove the 2.0TDI and it felt very relaxed because of the torque and I wondered if the TSI would feel similar? Thanks

Wouldnt have thought that a diesel would be worth it for 9k miles a year.
