Why buying car insurance is such a painful experience?

I'd rather get my chest shaven than call around for insurance quotes...

Just wasted twenty minutes of my life being on the phone with "American Classic Car Insurance Specialists" and being put on hold 7 times when the guy ran to his supervisor after asking questions like " So it's a Chevrolet Corvette sir? Is it petrol or diesel?"

And after twenty minutes of that, all I got is refusal because I keep my car garaged 5min away from my place and "computer says no, car has to be at your home address".

Every fking time is like that.

Next one, quote from their ad: " From a Cadillac to a Mustang. Whatever your pride and joy, we,ll get you covered"

Reality: after 15min, "I'm sorry sir, we won't be able to cover you because of all those expensive modifications like £1k wheels..."

Insurers in "not as advertised" shocker! Seriously quit complaining, they do the best they can.
