Hi sorry to ask this
does any one have any recommedations for my car. I will replace all 4 as they are all approaching the wear bars.
At the moment i'm looking towards continental sport contacts.
thanks

Can't really go wrong with Continental tyres.

My normally recommended Falken FK452s wear out very quickly on the front of a vRS, for fairly obvious reasons.

Can't go too wrong with the Conti's but tyres are very subjective so it depends how you drive and what your priorities are. There is a tyre wiki within these very pages.

I had Vredestein Sessanta's on mine. No complaints other than a fair bit of road noise (although I think this may come as standard on the vRS).

I have a lowered, mapped (funny, why does that make me think about a 335d...) Mk1 VRS with uprated brakes, so decent rubber is vital to complete the package.

Tried a few brands and you cannot beat Michelin Pilot Sports - a hands down winner for wet and dry grip and longevity.

Plus I've sometimes had slight vibrations despite much re-balancing from other brands before, but never had it with Michelins - you really do get what you pay for with tyres and Michelins seem to be top of the shop for quality.

If you go for them in a slightly different size, they're cheaper too. I can't remember the exact change and without going outside can't tell you, but basically it was a slightly wider tyre with a different aspect ratio - but once they're on the wheel they sit about the same width and diameter as the stock size, but as it's a more popular size they work out at less money.

I think it was about £400 fitted and balanced.

Ask a decent tyre shop about size options and I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.
