Yep thats right, free...

No, it doesn't involve folding the back seats down (dont have any), nor does it involve borrowing someones trick ebay eco-valve or whatever they are. I simply removed one component. Its called a woman. My woman. Its great, I saved a not inconsiderable amount of weight wink and best of all, that nagging speed limiter has been totally removed. Honestly, it's like a different car! hehe

Seriously though, who else has an O/H who spoils their fun? rage

Haha, so true.

I remember my ex when i had the CTR, apparently, i was breaking my car when i used to rev it, lol. And the amount of moaning she did with the recaro's was un-real, mind you she was pregnant, haha. It would be funny to see her get in and out of the DC5.

Could you still hear her muffled screams coming from the boot, though?

The lack of a Miss Robsco in my Cerbera is an absolute delight. She's so far passengered in it on three occasions. One of those was after a two hour wait for the recovery services after some starting troubles which didn't help matters. So far, she has complained about or questioned the smell, the noise, the heatsoak into the cabin, the pathetic nature of the cold air fan, how low it is, how small the windscreen is, how claustrophobic the passenger footwell is, the need for a fire extinguisher, how poorly made it is, the lack of exterior and interior door handles, the length of the bonnet and the attention it attracts. In fact, the only thing she hasn't complained about is the performance, which sends her into hysterical laughter.

The thing is, as petrolheads, most of us find ourselves loving the attributes of the car that our OHs/GFs despise.

Girlfriend very rarely comes in my car, but when I'm driving hers she isn't a happy bunny if the revs go above 4k (its a 1.2 Clio).

No problems whatsoever here.

Can sometimes act as performance enhancement.

You're doing it wrong..

My ex used to enjoy being a passenger in my old car. Be it the boost all the way to redline or the stupidly loud sub I had in it. Her mate, however, was what I call a 'squealer'.. “Slow down! Slow down.. Pleeeeaaassee.“ Screeched as I was accelerating down a slip road to get up to 70.

My girlfriend used to come in my car all the time.

So did the woman next door, but then her husband found out and it got messy...

My ex loved the Aston, except when her hair got blown about when the roof was down. The amount of times the roof had to stay up on beautiful days.... grumpy

Arrgghhh! Yes, you've just reminded me of that, when I had the '5 it was quite often something else to be complained about, unless it was sunburn temperatures outside. She didn't much like it in January! hehe

I am so happy to find this thread! It has made me feel a part of something! It is horrible, especially last week i had to drive to Glasgow and back (From Birmingham) in a KA tin with my personal speed limiter, when i start to overtake (which isn't very often in said car) i hear a sharp sucking in of breath followed by: why dont we just go at the same speed as the slower cars/lorries, to which i have to reply (by shouting to be heard over the roar of the motorway resonating throughout the KAr)

I would darling but the fact we are driving 300 miles in an uncomfortable, noisy stbox of a car

Never goes down to well as its her P&J

Does anyone else hate it when people say that Speeding doesn't get you there any quicker, you just get held up later on. Which in my mind is ridiculous, it can be the case if you are unfortunate and there is a big traffic jam, but simple common sense would tell you the quicker you travel the quicker you arrive.

AHHHHHHHHHH nice to know there are others suffering out there!
