can't afford it at the moment, but having considered auction previously on the car i just replaced, it something i would consider.

anyone got any example age, spec, mileage cooper s from auction?

ideally prefer mk2, being better mpg, reliable and space

seen a few online like at manhiem and british car auction.
cheapest mk2 are in the £6k region i've seen

I saw a mini cooper s 57 plate with 19k miles, black and a half decent spec go for 9.5k which was well over a grand above cap clean

When I worked at a car supermarket many of the cars were bought at auction. All of the Minis needed work. I think its because they are such a desirable model that the good ones won't have to be sent to auction.

Never buy something you can't afford retail at auctiom. Always pressume you'll need to pay the difference to get it up to standard and treat it as a nice suprise when you don't have to
