Fair Fuel For Axe Murderers? Debate...

Fuel taxes and capital punishment 'neck and neck' on e-petition site

Axe fuel tax! (Or the bunny gets it...)
Axe fuel tax! (Or the bunny gets it...)
Don't know about you, but if we were to put money on two things not happening in the foreseeable future, it would be a significant drop in fuel prices and a return to topping rapists and murderers.

Ironically, or perhaps not, the two e-petitions racing for the top spot on the government's new website call for debates on exactly those two topics.

The CHEAPER PETROL AND DIESEL, BY ROBERT HALFON MP AND FAIRFUEL UK petition is listed in the Treasury Department section on the website and last time we looked had 20,722 signatures (and counting).

The Petition to retain the ban on Capital Punishment (which has accidentally been placed in the Ministry of Justice department on the site, and not the Department of Culture, Media and Sport…) was in hot pursuit with 19,277 (and counting).

Apparently, if enough sympathisers add their digital signatures to either campaign, it might trigger a debate in the house.

If PHers want to do their bit for democracy in action and, you know, 'make a difference' (no, we're not cynical at all...), we suggest showing support for this petition instead.

RAF helicopters to help clear M25 accidents. Genius!

I think we should just apply the death penalty for anybody who signs a moronic e-petition.

Where do I sign?

I hope he is. We need to shoot a few looters. And not with rubber bullets. That'd sort them out...

Deep joy...smile

Why not have a Chinook following an apache gunship. One takes out the MLM the other cleans it up.

I think 'afford' is a misplaced term when most of its probably nicked anyway. Ironically probably from the car they then set fire to.

Get the M-16s out i say. Clear it in an hour. All these bleeding heart liberals defending the scummy scrotes trying to make out 'its the cuts fault' dear god. Scum is scum.

Yes, cos of course capital punishment works in deterring crime - just look at the USA.

Oh, hang on.

It may not deter it, but instead of having law abiding tax payers paying to keep them in a cushy cell it puts them in the ground instead smile
