You will need luck and a good deal of browsing eBay, gumtree, local ads and the like. Maybe ask friends/family if they've got anything they want rid of.

its will be hard becuase scrape value can push 200 at the moment for a decent size car.

Google Crumball rally and have a look, a friend has just gone to Italy and back, must buy a car for £200 or less, great fun on the cheap.

that looks like a cracking weekend, good fun. rules seem to be flimsy to say the least on how much your car can cost

With extreme difficulty at the moment as scrap values are so high. LOts of low offers is the way to go I would think.

A mate of mine picked up a really tidy V-reg Alfa 156 2.5 V6 for £280 last night. I was gobsmacked. It runs beautifully, so there ARE some great cars out there for peanuts.

I have a 1995 cavalier 1.8 for sale at the moment that would easily get to Italy and back. It finishes on eBay on Sunday and I think it will be around £200. PM me if you want details. I live in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

as long as they believe your car cost £200 is my understanding of the terms and conditions

Local ads and papers, my £185 Citroen XM came from Friday-Ads a few years ago.
