What car could you still build 'new' from the spares list?

Okay, unlimited funds (within reason, no jig/tooling manufacture allowed) and you have to build a brand new 'old' car.

MG Midget/B/Roadster I reckon using a Heritage Shell
Mini using the Heritage Shell again

I know Mk1 Escorts have a variety of parts, but wings are hard to source.

Any others?

Incredibly much of the entire Toyota range is readily available going back to the 80's & spares available for stuff way before that too.

I know you can pretty much build a JZA80 Supra from spare parts.

One of the Saab specialists did it with a last of the line Saab 900 turbo convertible.

Took a decent example, then stripped it down and did a complete nut and bolt restore with respray. OK, most of the parts were not new, but they were refurbished. The thing was an absolute joy to behold. I think he sold it for 12 or 13k but reckoned it cost upwards of 25k to build...

Would be on my lottery car list...

That doesn't count. You have to be able to source ALL parts new or new old stock.

There was a guy a few years back who put together a complete series 3 V12 E-Type from spares that he gathered from all over the place.

He even went to the extent that every part he put on it had to be genuine Jaguar, no refurbs, no copy parts, nothing.

Looked absoultely spot on, and probably built better than the originals were.

BMW 2002Tii.

BMW did it as just about everything is available.

If it isn't available, you might have to order a few of the parts to get them to re make them.

I think there's very few cars, as who makes the shell? It's no good using an old shell with new parts as that doesn't count in my opinion.

I bet you could still build a VW beetle. Not that you would want to.

I'm pretty sure if you could mould a fibreglass monococque for a 1958-62 Lotus Elite you could build a new one.

MG B - every part is still available for them.

In fact, one company is actually building a limited run of brand new cars this year.
