I wonder if there's anyone driving without insurance because of the same thing?

Say their policy ended on the 11th August but think it ends on the 8th November because it's writen 08/11/11 instead of 11/08/11. scratchchin

I'd get them to confirm the date in writing (long-hand dates) as the phone operator may have made the mistake....

When I take power I'm mandating that all dates are to be written in the ' 1st Jan 2011 ' format. It drives me bloody loopy when I get a numerical format one and it refers to a date before the 13th of the month so I can't tell if it's DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY - pain in the chute when you're dealing with Americans, Brits and Europeans who all seem to pick their format at random, then change it once in a while to keep you on your toes.

They'll send me a quote in the post anyway.

Chances are it'll be put in the "Junk" pile before I see it as they're usually in a marked envelope.
