I've got a P11-144 Nissan Primera (1999-2001 model - Mine is a 51 plate) which I love. Bought for £750 notes, I can't complain about much. It has air con, leather, leccy bits and full MOT and service history. It even does 360 miles to a tank of £60 odd of 95ron.

There is, however, one thing that is annoying me. There is a squeak coming from somewhere in the dashboard that I cannot trace! There is no other problem with the car bar this issue. It squeaks whenever it gets the chance. I have no idea from which part the noise is generated, but only know that it is from the drivers side.

Has anyone experienced this with their Primera? It would be a great help if someone could direct me towards where or what to look at.

Thanks in advance chaps.

Go bounce your o/s wing up and down, and if it squeaks, it'll be your O/S upper suspension control arm.

Time for a trip to the breakers.

It's very easy to change. 4 17mm bolts hold the bracket to the body and one 17mm bolts through the main suspension strut.

Thank you for the response. I did have a feeling it could be the suspension at first, but wasn't sure as the noise seemed to come from the dash itself. I'll give this a try and see if it resolves the squeak/creak.

Buy a can of silicon spray from halfords and spray small quantities where the dash makes contact with A-pillars etc. No harm if it's not that because you can wipe it on the rubbers to keep them in good condition.
