Thruxton Circuit Today

So I was at Thruxton Circuit today for my Driving Experience - a gift from my parents for my 21st Birthday. I was supposed to be driving a Lotus Exige & Formula Renault but it was so wet that I ended up having to re-book my experience...
Tiff kept most people in good spirits though, plugging his book in a comcal fashion and refering to Jeremy Clarkson as a 'Fat Git'.
Driving home was possibly just as risky as driving on the track! Traveling at anything over 40mph on the A303 meant visibility was non existent. I also aquaplaned a good few times when I hit streams of water running across the road, hidden by the amount of spray!
Really looking forward to going back to Thruxton in the near future though, hopefully when the weather is better

Yes, I did get the impression that they give you a bit of freedom. The first thing the instructor said to me was 'Don't worry, you'll be driving with the traction control on, I've just turned it off so we can dick around a bit!'
