hey,

Im looking for a very cheap field car to strip the body work off and make in to a double seated buggy. I would like it to be RWD and maybe if possible rear engined.

I am on a very tight budget of maybe £100 or so.

Does anyone have any ideas?

RWD and rear engined for a ton????

I'd be thinking a sheddy E36 maybe? E30 even better but not many bangers about.

If you strip the body off 99% of modern car you are left with an engine and 4 wheels with nothing connecting them

Given that you'll get at least £100 for weighing a light car in at the scrappies, I would have thought for your budget there will be next to nothing out there.

yeh would be needing something with a chassis but wouldn't really be looking for something modern just a rwd banger

RWD with a separate chassis that works for under £100

Not a single chance in hell of finding that

Really doubt you'll get anything with a proper chassis for a ton.

I'd just be looking at anything with a working engine tbh then just strip it and hoon.

No way on that budget. Best thing is to try and find a landy disco that's rotten as hell and take the front half shafts out, forcing RWD

Well you could take your pick of front engine /front drive cars carve it up a bit and drive it in reverse around the field, use the other 5 gears when you want to surprise someone!

aren't beetles the done thing for this? They might be too expensive/rare now though.

Me and a mate had a 204,000 mile old 2.0 Omega that had been a Cab, we bought it for £150 and just cained the st out of it on his farm, we ended up cutting the roof off it and jumping it to try and snap in half but the old girl eventually chucked a rod hehe

We also welded the diff for extra hooligan-ism

Sadly you're a few years too late. Skoda 130's and the like have cult status now and are worth a lot more for novelty value alone.

FWD car and turn it round on your budget.

Fiat 126 or as has been said a rear engined Skoda (I used to use one for autotests on grass and it was awesome)
