Just spotted a rear end photo of a Chim with twin white stripes in another thread and thought it looked quite cool.

My Chim is never going to be a cosmetically flawless garage queen and i have pondered having a couple of white stripes but on a few times. Anybody ever done this with their cars? There is a vinyl signwriting place down the road, guess they would be able to do it.

If anybody has a picture of their P and J with stripes i'd be keen to see piccies smile

This is my Chim currently as is....

I want to get a Stradale type stripe for my little runaround, but can't find a decent one anywhere - the white background is vital IMO! Some pretty cheap Italian stripes on the bay, but none with a white background - I don't want to be paying Ferrari money for a stripe!

Can you not just buy a wide white stripe and then stick the Italian flag stripe over that?

My Dad had a stripe put on his Caterham, but it was painted properly by one of the Caterham specialists. He had a replacement screen put on that was black and not silver as before. We thought it looked great after!

Yeah, but I like the tapering effect on the end, and I was looking for a ready done one. I had thought of doing that, but I'm a bit lazy, and it's also a bit more to possibly go wrong as well!

Having a Mustang, the reason I don't have them is because everybody else does.

I clocked this Elise at Stratstone this morning - looks really good in the flesh.

I see yours looks green so I wouldn't go for white but something less garish like silver or a (pale?) yellow of some variety.

We've got something that looks similar to this lurking in the garage. It would look wrong without the stripes IMO.

What makes me laugh is big wide GT stripes on,

  • Transits
  • Minis
  • Smarts
  • Fiestas

Stripes if twinned need to be broad like the Cobra not thin and emaciated.. The single stripe looks OK but you should never have a single offset stripe as the car looks unfinished IMHO.
