Hi all,

Don't mean to annoy with a frivolous topic, but been looking through the classifieds this weekend at 997 Carrera S models, and am trying to work out which colours best show off the shape.

For me it's a three-way fight at the moment between Arctic Silver, Seal Gray and Metallic Black (is it called Basalt?!).

I love the Arctic Silver look, it sort of reminds me of old Porsches and seems to suit the car's lines well. But I've pretty much always gone for dark colours in the past, so am curious to know what you guys think.

What do you reckon is the best colour for the 997 series?

Ha interesting! Am still not sure about red, reminds me a bit of the sterotype of Porsches owned by city boys in the 1980s.

I have seal grey, but slate grey is my fave. Harder to find when buying 2nd hand because it was an optional extra.

Also like midnight blue.

I think the 997 911 look great in any colour. If it were me then I would go for dark.

Silver/Grey cars always look (IMO) like cars bought just with re-sale values in mind.

Guards, Mexico Blue, Macadamia, Polar Silver.

All IMO of course.
